Hachiware is a white cat with a distinctive blue fur and ears. He is best friends with Chiikawa and Usagi. They almost always play together or just spend time in each other's company, often going to each other's houses for sleepovers or eating together at ramen stores.
Hachiware is the only character of the main trio who communicates in standard Japanese. Although his fluency is like that of a young child, he is the most talkative of the three, always optimistically saying: "It will work out somehow!"
